Hours of Work: 45 Hours Per Week Monday-Friday. Occasional Saturday work will be required.
Key Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- It is the responsibility of drivers to ensure efficient day to day performance of their duties and to ensure that all deliveries made to customers’ premises are carried out in a safe and hygienic manner.
- Load and unload vehicles efficiently as part of daily delivery operations.
- Plan delivery routes and complete all necessary delivery and collection paperwork.
- Carrying out deliveries as well as assisting other HGV Drivers on 2-person routes.
- Building strong customer relationships and providing feedback of customer queries to wider Frylite team.
- Stock control & invoicing.
- Reporting of accidents, near misses, injuries, and spills. Ensuring all digital and hardcopy paperwork is completed.
- Conduct vehicle checks for safety and compliance.
- Responsible for washing of Frylite Solutions vehicles and ensuring vehicles are kept clean.
- Carry out any other duties as requested by the Depot Manager.
Essential Criteria:
- Must have a valid C licence, Up to Date CPCs and Tachograph Card. Driving license must not have any endorsements.
- Can demonstrate how you have lived Frylite Solutions Values in previous roles (Relationships, Respect, Work Ethic, Excellence, Success) to lead positive and progressive distribution.
- Ability to demonstrate how you can be flexible to accommodate variable start and finish times, and occasional Saturday work.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Good communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of using handheld devices.
- Knowledge of food hygiene rules.
- Good geographical knowledge of the road networks of surrounding counties to Depot would be advantageous.
- Previous experience carrying out multi-drop deliveries.
