Working closely with colleagues, alumni, parents, donors, and friends of the School, the successful candidates will contribute to cultivating meaningful relationships, inspiring philanthropic support, delivering high-quality communications and events, and helping to realise the School’s ambitious strategic development objectives. THE ROLE
The Fundraising Manager is responsible for delivering fundraising activity that supports annual income growth and long term donor engagement. The role will lead annual giving initiatives, donor stewardship programmes, fundraising appeals, and prospect development, helping to build a sustainable pipeline of supporters and maximise philanthropic income.
Fundraising Delivery
- Deliver annual fundraising plans, appeals, and campaigns in line with departmental objectives.
- Manage annual giving and mid-level donor programmes to increase participation and income.
- Develop and implement donor stewardship and recognition activities to strengthen supporter relationships.
- Create and manage donor journeys that enhance engagement, retention, and giving.
- Support fundraising events, campaigns, and donor engagement initiatives.
Pipeline Development
- Conduct prospect research and donor analysis to identify new fundraising opportunities.
- Manage and maintain prospect pipelines, ensuring donor activity is accurately tracked and progressed.
- Support donor cultivation strategies and engagement activities.
- Work closely with the Head of Development to identify and develop future major giving opportunities.
Communications and Reporting
- Draft compelling fundraising materials, donor communications, and campaign content.
- Coordinate donor impact reporting, stewardship updates, and funding reports.
- Monitor fundraising performance against targets and provide regular progress updates.
- Maintain accurate records within the CRM system and contribute to fundraising reporting and analysis.
THE PERSON
Essential
- Experience in fundraising, donor engagement, or relationship management. Strong organisational, project management, and communication skills.
- Experience of donor stewardship, prospect development, and pipeline management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver against targets.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce engaging fundraising content.
Desirable
- Experience within education, charity, or not-for-profit fundraising.
- Knowledge of CRM and donor database systems.
- Experience delivering fundraising campaigns, appeals, or annual giving programmes.
- Understanding of donor cultivation, stewardship, and philanthropic giving.
