Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Catering Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will support the smooth operation of catering services by assisting with food preparation, service, and clean-up. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the hospitality sector and contribute to delivering high-quality catering experiences for our clients. Flexibility with working hours and a positive attitude are essential for this position.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with company standards.
Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner.
Ensure all serving areas are kept clean, organised, and hygienic throughout shifts.
Support with setting up catering events
Clear away used crockery, cutlery, and waste promptly after service.
Restock supplies and maintain stock levels during shifts.
Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and guests.
Assist with general cleaning duties in kitchen and service areas to uphold cleanliness standards.

Requirements

Previous experience in catering or hospitality is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends or evenings if required.
Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of food hygiene standards is advantageous but not mandatory.
