Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Fitters ideally in groups of 2/3 to join our flooring team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing carpets,vinyls,lvt and mainly lvp click flooring using a range of hand and power tools. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects within the construction industry, contributing to the successful completion of building and renovation tasks. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a strong background in construction-related trades.
Responsibilities
- Use hand tools, power tools, and construction painting techniques to carry out installation and repair tasks efficiently.
- Assist in the preparation of sites by cleaning, organising materials, and ensuring safety standards are maintained.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections of fitted components to ensure quality standards are met and perform adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored correctly after use.
Skills
- experience in all aspects of floor coverings
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, and measuring devices.
- Familiarity with power tools including drills, saws, grinders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and understand project requirements.
- Must have own van and tools.
- Must be reliable
- All work local to tidworth and surrounding areas.
- Must pass online dbs check
