Your next role

The Property Assets Manager roles play a pivotal part in ensuring we are making the most of our land and property assets to meet the needs of our residents, generate increased commercial returns and help with our growth and place shaping aspirations.

Working to the Portfolio Manager - Corporate Assets, you will manage your own portfolio and be accountable for providing appropriate professional expertise in all aspects of estate management. You will be responsible for reviewing all assets within your portfolio, identifying, delivering and monitoring the best approach to maximise their contribution towards the Council’s 3 Missions of a Fairer, Better and Greener Swindon.

You will be comfortable working in a matrix environment, be pragmatic, innovative, have a strong commercial acumen, and be adept at solving problems and proficient in seeking out and unlocking opportunities which drive revenue.

To support you in delivering this work, you will work collaboratively within the portfolio team to manage and deliver a comprehensive property management service for Swindon Borough Council’s Corporate Assets portfolio

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
