WEMCO Ltd is a leading Mechanical Building Services contractor delivering commercial heating, decarbonisation, water hygiene, air conditioning, and planned maintenance services across the South West of England. We work with housing associations, local authorities, schools, healthcare providers, and commercial clients on a diverse range of projects.
We are seeking an ambitious Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team and gain hands-on experience across design, project delivery, maintenance engineering, energy efficiency, and renewable technologies.
What You Will Be Doing
- Supporting the delivery of commercial mechanical engineering projects.
- Assisting with heating system surveys and condition assessments.
- Producing technical reports, schedules, and specifications.
- Supporting project managers with planning, procurement, and site coordination.
- Learning about commercial boiler systems, heat pumps, ventilation, and renewable technologies.
- Assisting with CAD drawings and technical documentation.
- Attending client meetings and site visits throughout the South West.
- Developing knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Supporting decarbonisation and energy efficiency projects.
What We Are Looking For
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A practical approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Full UK Driving Licence (or working towards obtaining one).
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of HVAC, building services, or renewable energy systems.
- Experience using AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Placement year or industry experience within engineering or construction.
