Outwood Academy Adwick provides a high-quality learning and cultural environment that inspires and motivates children. Whether you are ambitious for progression or determined to be an outstanding classroom teacher, Outwood Academy Adwick is the place for you. The maths department is based in a new building where all classrooms are equipped with interactive screens and large areas to deliver. The department consists of 9 teaching staff, subject Directors and 121 tutors who deliver bespoke support for our students. Hence, you will be well supported by an experienced team of teachers and Directors as you work to raise attainment levels and offer an engaging curriculum experience that focuses on teaching for understanding.
The Academy benefits from being part of the Outwood Family of Schools, which affords opportunities for staff to work and progress across several schools if desired. All staff are guaranteed a minimum of two hours CPD per week and a further comprehensive programme of professional development is provided through our own network of teaching schools. Is the successful candidate is an ECT, we offer a structured and comprehensive induction programme throughout the year.
We have extensive involvement in the Yorkshire and the Humber Maths Hub and there are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved in the fantastic projects they run.
