Full job description

Duties will include:

Setting and operating 3, 4 & 5 axis milling machines to required tolerances.
Prove out new programs, edit as necessary, liaising with design and production engineering as directed Use of Fanuc controls.
Tool setting on CNC machines. Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
Use of manual measuring equipment. Loading and unloading parts onto machines. Tapping and deburring where required.
Cleanliness of workstations during and at the end of their shift.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety within their own and their colleagues' working environment.
Help and assist other members of the milling cell when required Complete basic maintenance & upkeep of machines as per company TPM Schedule
Following daily work to lists or as instructed by Team Leader
Adhere to all Quality, Health + Safety and Environmental Policy’s, Manuals, Objectives, Process, Procedures, and Work Instructions
Actively participate in the Hewland Think Smart/Safe program
Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, notifying H&S when they need replacing

Essential:

3-5 Years relevant production experience

Experience in Milling Operations

Willing to work shifts and unsociable hours

Desirable:

Experience in a high-quality Manufacturing environment

Have previously run a Matsuura 3-4-5 Axis machines or similar

Minor Fanuc programme editting

Use of MSP probing software ref 5 axis

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £17.00-£19.00 per hour
