FIFTH Movement works with primary schools across Greater Manchester to deliver physical activity and wellbeing programmes. Our services include PE delivery, extra-curricular clubs, forest school, swimming education, and holiday camps.
We are looking for a Freelance Gymnastics & Dance Coach to deliver after-school clubs for primary-aged children at one of our partner schools in Manchester City Centre.
The Role
This is a sessional freelance position delivering gymnastics and dance sessions for children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering sessions, managing groups of children, setting up and packing away equipment, and representing FIFTH Movement professionally within the school.
Responsibilities
- Deliver gymnastics and dance sessions for primary-aged children
- Adapt activities for different ages, abilities, and group sizes
- Set up and store equipment before and after sessions
- Manage behaviour and maintain clear expectations throughout sessions
- Liaise with school staff where required
- Complete attendance registers and any session records
- Follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a coaching, teaching, dance, gymnastics, or activity-based role
- Relevant dance, gymnastics, coaching, or teaching qualifications are desirable
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Reliable and professional approach to delivery
- Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one before starting
