Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, responsible Night Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of the Hotel and its guests during the night. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail. As a Night Porter, you will be the first point of contact for guests that check in after 10pm and depart before 8am

Duties

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with their luggage as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the lobby, entrance, and public areas.
Conduct regular Fire Walks throughout the night.
Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and directions as required.
Assist with breakfast set up.
Monitor the condition of hotel facilities and report any maintenance issues to management.
Uphold high standards of hospitality by demonstrating professionalism at all times.

Skills

Strong communication skills with a focus on guest services.
Previous Night work is essential though not necessary in a Hotel environment.
Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries and reservations.
Ability to work alone.
Computer usage is required so keyboard experience is a must.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.

Live In accommodation can be provided in a private double room with shared facilities in the staff accommodation block charged monthly.
