Full job description

Overview
We are a small but ambitious accountancy and tax practice, and we are looking for a Tax Senior to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a varied client portfolio while supporting the delivery of both compliance and advisory work. You will contribute to a growing business whilst enjoying a flexible, friendly workplace. We do things differently and believe in a healthy work/life balance. This position is flexible and can be part time or full time dependant on finding the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing a portfolio of personal and/or corporate tax clients
Preparing and reviewing self-assessment tax returns
Handling corporation tax computations and returns
Supporting tax planning and advisory assignments
Liaising directly with client, HMRC, and our internal team
Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing guidance and support
Identifying tax planning opportunities and risks
Ensuring compliance with current tax legislation and deadlines

Candidate Profile:

AAT qualified / CTA part-qualified or qualified (or equivalent experience)
Strong background in personal and/or corporate tax compliance
At least 4 years' experience in practice
Proficiency in tax software (e.g. IRIS, TaxCalc, CCH) preferred
Confident communicator who enjoys building client relationships
Proactive, organised, with a strong attention to detail and time management
