Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organised Shop Assistant/Supervisor to oversee daily tasks and constantly hit the high standards customers expect. The right candidate should be motivated, proactive and able to lead the small team and business when the owner is absent. This role is very hands on so we are looking for the perfect member that will communicate well with customers and be really hardworking.

Due to the nature of the business, the candidate must be flexible and happy to work most Fridays and Saturdays as they are our busiest periods.

The role will be for 30 hours a week with days ranging from Tuesday to Saturday. And the hours are 6:45 to 14:15, so must be able to get to and from Tickhill for this time.

Responsibilities

Take a lead in the shop in the owners absence, ensuring efficient operation and high standards of customer service
Manage stock levels and replenish when needed
Handle customers with professionalism and courtesy and take phone orders effectively
Maintain standards, including cleanliness and a small amount of daily admin work

Skills

Supervising experience ideal but not required as training will be given
Strong leadership qualities with good proactive and resilient skills
Excellent communication skills, in English
Keen attention to detail
Hard worker who will get stuck in
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills

This role is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive in a fast paced environment and like a bit of responsibility. Candidates should be organised, proactive, and committed to delivering outstanding service.

Pay: £13.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Tickhill, South Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
