Affiliates Manager
About P.Louise
P.Louise is one of the UK’s fastest-growing beauty brands, recognised for creating innovative products, unforgettable customer experiences and a highly engaged global community.
As we continue to grow across the UK and internationally, we are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Affiliates Manager to lead the development of our affiliate programme, strengthen our publisher relationships and accelerate growth in key markets, with a particular focus on international expansion in areas such as the USA.
The Role
The Affiliates Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management and long-term growth of the P.Louise affiliate programme across Rakuten. This is a highly commercial role requiring a strong understanding of affiliate marketing, publisher management, budget allocation and performance reporting. You will identify opportunities to scale the channel, expand into new platforms and publisher categories, and ensure investment is directed towards the partners and activities that deliver the greatest incremental value. You will need to ensure that you can balance short-term revenue maximisation with long-term brand growth. Alongside driving revenue, the role will have a strong focus on community development. You will use your publisher network to introduce P.Louise to new audiences, build meaningful brand advocacy and help grow the P.Louise community across both established and emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities
Affiliate Programme Management
- Own the day-to-day management and continued development of the P.Louise affiliate programme through Rakuten.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with affiliate publishers, content creators, editorial partners, cashback sites, loyalty platforms, comparison sites and emerging partner types.
- Recruit high-quality new publishers that align with the P.Louise brand, customer profile and commercial objectives.
- Develop tailored activation plans for priority partners, including exclusive offers, content opportunities, product launches and seasonal campaigns.
- Maintain programme hygiene, including publisher approvals, commission structures, promotional information, tracking links, creative assets and compliance.
- Work closely with Rakuten to ensure P.Louise is maximising the platform’s capabilities, publisher network and available growth opportunities.
- Work alongside the wider ecommerce team, ensuring that you utilise your publisher network to maximise performance of key events, such as new product drops or capitalising on emerging/viral trends.
Commercial Growth and Budget Management
- Take ownership of the affiliate budget, ensuring spend is allocated effectively across commissions, tenancy placements, publisher fees and tactical investments.
- Assess opportunities based on expected return, incrementality, new customer acquisition and alignment with wider business priorities.
- Negotiate commercial terms, commission rates and placement packages with publishers.
- Build business cases for additional investment and clearly communicate the expected commercial impact.
- Regularly review publisher performance and reallocate budget towards the strongest growth opportunities.
- Balance short-term revenue delivery with longer-term brand awareness, customer acquisition and community growth.
- Identify new platforms, technologies and partnership models that could expand the affiliate channel beyond the existing programme.
International and US Market Growth
- Develop and execute an affiliate growth strategy for new and emerging markets, with an immediate focus on the US.
- Identify publishers, creators, editorial platforms and community partners with strong reach and credibility in priority territories.
- Adapt publisher strategy, commission structures, offers and messaging to reflect local customer behaviour and market dynamics.
- Build market-specific activation calendars around product launches, key retail moments and local trading events.
- Work with internal teams to ensure international affiliate activity supports wider brand, eCommerce and customer acquisition objectives.
- Monitor market performance and provide clear recommendations on where P.Louise should increase, reduce or redirect investment.
Community and Publisher Network Development
- Use the affiliate and publisher network to introduce P.Louise to new communities and deepen engagement with existing audiences.
- Identify partners who can support more than transactional sales, including brand storytelling, education, events, social content and community activation.
- Build relationships with publishers and creators who authentically connect with the P.Louise customer.
- Develop campaigns that turn affiliate partners into long-term advocates for the brand.
- Collaborate with social, influencer, PR, CRM and brand teams to create joined-up campaigns that strengthen the wider P.Louise community.
- Explore opportunities to connect affiliate activity with P.Louise events, product launches, retail locations, loyalty initiatives and VIP experiences.
Reporting and Performance Analysis
- Produce clear weekly, monthly and campaign-level reporting across revenue, spend, return on investment, cost of sale, new customer acquisition and publisher performance.
- Confidently present affiliate performance, opportunities, risks and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Move beyond top-line revenue reporting to assess incrementality, customer quality, market contribution and the role of affiliates within the wider customer journey.
- Analyse performance by publisher, publisher type, campaign, placement, territory, product and customer type.
- Establish benchmarks and targets for the channel and track progress against agreed KPIs.
- Identify performance trends quickly and translate data into clear, commercially focused actions.
- Work with analytics and eCommerce teams to improve tracking, attribution and reporting accuracy.
Key Skills and Experience
- Proven experience managing and growing an affiliate marketing programme, ideally within beauty Ecommerce.
- Strong working knowledge of Rakuten or another leading affiliate platform.
- A clear understanding of affiliate publisher models, including content, editorial, cashback, loyalty, voucher, comparison, influencer and technology partners.
- Demonstrable experience managing budgets and making commercially informed investment decisions.
- Strong negotiation skills, with experience agreeing commission structures, tenancy packages and publisher partnerships.
- Confidence analysing large amounts of performance data and communicating the key findings clearly.
- Experience creating reports and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of incrementality, attribution, new customer acquisition and affiliate channel profitability.
- Experience supporting international expansion or managing affiliate activity across multiple markets.
- Knowledge of the US affiliate landscape would be highly advantageous.
- An established publisher network within beauty, fashion or lifestyle would be beneficial.
- Strong relationship-management skills and the ability to represent P.Louise confidently with external partners.
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple campaigns, partners and priorities at once.
- Commercially ambitious, curious and constantly looking for new ways to grow the channel.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, relationship-led and confident working with both data and people.
You will understand that a successful affiliate programme is not simply about issuing discount codes or securing cashback placements. You will be able to identify the right partners, negotiate effectively, allocate budget based on opportunity and develop collaborations that deliver both immediate revenue and long-term brand growth.
You will be excited by the opportunity to introduce P.Louise to new audiences, particularly within the US, and will understand how publisher relationships can be used to build community, advocacy and lasting customer engagement.
Measures of Success
Success in the role will be measured through:
- Affiliate revenue growth.
- Return on affiliate investment and cost of sale.
- New customer acquisition.
- Growth in active and revenue-generating publishers.
- Performance within the US and other priority international markets.
- Increased contribution from content, editorial and community-led partners.
- Successful delivery of publisher campaigns and placements.
- Quality and consistency of reporting and commercial recommendations.
- Expansion into new publisher categories, platforms and partnership opportunities.
- Evidence that affiliate activity is contributing to the growth and engagement of the wider P.Louise community.
