Traditional Norfolk Poultry (TNP)

At Traditional Norfolk Poultry (TNP), we are proud to produce free-range and organic chickens and turkeys to the highest welfare standards in the East Anglian countryside. Our farms and processing facility are fully RSPCA Assured, ensuring exceptional care and welfare standards throughout the entire production process.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Agricultural Turkey Manager to join our agricultural team.

Reporting directly to the Agricultural Director, this is a key operational role responsible for overseeing turkey production standards, compliance, welfare, planning, and farm performance across multiple sites.

The role is primarily field-based with regular travel between our Shropham and Snetterton offices.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with turkey placement planning and communication with suppliers
Coordinate and oversee day-to-day turkey operations across multiple farms
Ensure all farms remain compliant with retailer standards, RSPCA Assured, Red Tractor, and OF&G requirements
Promote and maintain the highest standards of bird welfare at all times
Identify and escalate any compliance or welfare concerns to senior management
Prepare farms and supporting documentation for internal and external audits
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of company policies and procedures
Monitor production performance, KPIs, and outcome data to support operational decision-making
Organise and lead teams effectively to ensure proactive and efficient working practices
Build positive working relationships with farm teams, suppliers, and internal departments
Support operational activities with a hands-on approach where required
Carry out additional duties and project work as required by the business

About You

We are looking for someone who is organised, practical, and passionate about poultry welfare and production.

Essential Skills & Experience

Strong knowledge and experience within turkey or poultry production
Excellent understanding of bird welfare standards and compliance requirements
Experience working with Red Tractor, RSPCA Assured, and OF&G standards
Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to think proactively and solve problems
Confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage others
Experience leading and coordinating teams
Ability to accurately record, analyse, and interpret information
Hands-on and flexible approach to work
Full UK driving licence

Desirable

Good Microsoft Excel skills
Previous experience preparing for or managing external audits

Location & Hours

Our main office is based in Shropham, Norfolk and out agriculture office in Snetterton, Norfolk. This role will cover our farms across Norfolk & Suffolk.

This position is Full-time, 5 Days Per Week (42.5 Hours per week)

Flexibility required, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Pay

Salary of £50,000 - £55,000 depending on experience
