Part/Full Time - Full Time - All roles are available for flexible working including job sharing and part-time unless there are legitimate operational / business reasons why this cannot be accommodated

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Financial Investigator to lead and coordinate the CRiSP Team, which proactively targets criminal assets using POCA Civil Recovery in Summary Proceedings powers.

Joining an established and nationally recognised team the successful candidate will spearhead the expansion of the existing capability to ensure we are best positioned to identify and deny criminal assets.

The role requires an excellent team leader with the ability to develop and mentor staff in a way that ensures they are empowered to innovate in this rapidly changing environment.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong background and accreditation as a Financial Investigator. Possessing a high degree of understanding of illicit finances and money laundering and analytical skills will be key to success in this busy role.

The role involves supervising a team of Financial Investigators, dealing with both complex and volume civil investigations. Staff are based across the region, including Gatwick airport, so travel to attend court, meetings and operations is required.

This unique and exciting opportunity brings about a challenging and rewarding role, where no two days are the same.

Our working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We offer flexible and remote working options, but staff are required to work from the office two days a week

The successful candidate will work closely with key partners, both within SE ROCU and externally. The team works very closely with Border Force and Immigration, as a part of key service delivery around asses seizures at South East Ports.

Flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand is essential and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason a full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role. You may also be required to perform on-call arrangements for immediate response as required across the South East region

Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
