Band 6 Physiotherapist – Kingston Rehabilitation Centre

Location: Kingston

Job Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term (12 months)

Salary: £38,000 per annum

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Band 6 Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Kingston Rehabilitation Centre on a 12-month fixed term contract. Established in 1984, CHD Living is an award-winning family-owned group of care services in Surrey and South London, where we offer person-centred care from a friendly team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist rehabilitation setting supporting individuals with acquired brain injury, complex neurological conditions, orthopaedic rehabilitation, and slow-stream rehabilitation needs.

You will manage your own clinical caseload as an autonomous practitioner, delivering evidence-based, patient-centred physiotherapy interventions and contributing to the ongoing development of high-quality rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage a varied caseload of patients requiring neurorehabilitation, complex disability management, and general rehabilitation
Carry out comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and evaluate patient progress using clinical reasoning and outcome measures
Deliver individualised physiotherapy programmes and SMART goal setting to support safe and timely discharge into the community where appropriate
Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
Provide supervision and support to physiotherapy assistants and junior staff as required
Contribute to service development, audits, and clinical governance activities
Ensure accurate clinical documentation in line with professional and legal standards
Support safe use of equipment, including assessment of equipment needs for patients
Participate in training, supervision, and continuous professional development activities
Deputise for senior physiotherapy staff when required

About You: We are looking for a physiotherapist who is:

HCPC registered Physiotherapist
Experienced in neurorehabilitation, acquired brain injury, or complex rehabilitation settings
Confident managing an independent caseload
Skilled in multidisciplinary working and communication with patients, families, and carers
Committed to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
Able to supervise and support junior staff and therapy assistants

Desirable:

Experience working at Band 6 level or equivalent
Experience in slow-stream rehabilitation or specialist neurological settings
Experience in equipment assessment and discharge planning
