About the Role:
Bangor is home to a growing professional services and business support sector, and at AgentWise Business Solutions, we help organisations improve processes, make informed decisions, and deliver better outcomes.
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst who can evaluate complex business requirements, identify operational improvements, and translate stakeholder needs into practical solutions.
You will work across business functions, client projects, and technology initiatives, helping teams understand current challenges, define future processes, and implement changes that deliver measurable value.
Why Work With Us?
The Environment:
Our office is based at the Signal Centre in Bangor, a professional business location with access to local commercial networks and modern workplace facilities.
Strategic Impact:
You will contribute to important business decisions, transformation initiatives, and client engagements rather than focusing only on administrative analysis.
Project Variety:
You will work across operational improvement, service delivery, digital transformation, customer experience, reporting, and business process projects.
Professional Growth:
You will have opportunities to strengthen your skills in stakeholder management, process modelling, requirements analysis, project delivery, and change implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Requirements Analysis:
Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, operational challenges, project objectives, and expected outcomes.
Process Improvement:
Review existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend practical improvements that support productivity, service quality, and cost control.
Stakeholder Management:
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and interviews with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Requirements Documentation:
Prepare clear business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
Solution Evaluation:
Assess proposed systems, process changes, and service improvements to determine whether they meet business and user requirements.
Data Analysis:
Review operational data, performance reports, customer feedback, and financial information to identify trends and support decision-making.
Project Support:
Work closely with project managers, technical teams, and operational departments throughout planning, implementation, testing, and delivery.
Change Impact Assessment:
Evaluate how proposed changes may affect teams, systems, customers, procedures, and business performance.
Business Case Development:
Support the preparation of business cases by documenting expected benefits, implementation costs, risks, assumptions, and resource requirements.
Testing Support:
Assist with user acceptance testing, defect reviews, process validation, and confirmation that delivered solutions meet approved requirements.
Performance Measurement:
Define practical performance indicators and help teams measure the results of implemented changes.
Risk Identification:
Identify operational, technical, commercial, and implementation risks and recommend appropriate mitigation actions.
Reporting:
Prepare concise reports, analysis summaries, recommendations, and presentations for management and client stakeholders.
Mentoring:
Provide guidance to junior analysts and support colleagues in developing consistent analysis and documentation standards.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, management consulting, project delivery, or a related professional role.
Education:
A degree in Business Management, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, Operations Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
Business Analysis Knowledge:
Strong understanding of requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, stakeholder management, business cases, and change impact assessment.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to interpret complex information, identify patterns, challenge assumptions, and develop evidence-based recommendations.
Tools:
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Visio, Jira, Confluence, or similar analysis and project management platforms is preferred.
Documentation Skills:
Ability to produce clear business requirements, process diagrams, reports, presentations, and implementation documentation.
Communication Skills:
Strong spoken and written English is required, together with the confidence to communicate with senior stakeholders and client representatives.
Leadership Skills:
Ability to guide workshops, coordinate analysis activities, influence decisions, and support less-experienced team members.
Organisation:
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet project deadlines, maintain accurate documentation, and work effectively with limited supervision.
Mindset:
You are analytical, commercially aware, and solutions-oriented. You challenge unclear requirements, take ownership of complex problems, and focus on delivering improvements that create measurable business value.
