Food Production Operative4-Day Week | No Weekends | Permanent Opportunity

Highfield Preserves – Willand

£13.00 per hour

At Highfield Preserves we're looking for a reliable Food Production Operative to join our friendly production team making our award-winning jams, marmalades, curds and chutneys.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping busy, working as part of a close-knit team and being part of a business where quality really matters.

The role

You'll work in our busy production kitchen helping to make and jar our products ready for customers across the UK.

The work is physical, fast-paced and repetitive at times, so we're looking for someone who enjoys routine, likes staying active and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

Typical duties include:

Preparing ingredients
Assisting with cooking
Filling and lidding jars
Packing products into trays
Completing simple production records
Keeping the production area clean and hygienic
Following food safety procedures

What we're looking for

This role would suit someone who:

Is reliable and turns up ready to work every day
Enjoys practical, hands-on work
Is happy carrying out repetitive tasks accurately
Works well as part of a team
Has a good eye for detail
Takes pride in producing quality work

Food manufacturing experience is helpful but not essential. If you've worked in production, warehousing, manufacturing, catering or hospitality we'd love to hear from you.

Hours

4 x 10-hour shifts
Usually 6.00am–4.00pm
Monday to Friday (rotating day off)
No weekends

Training

We'll provide full training including:

Level 2 Food Hygiene
HACCP Level 2
Manual Handling
