Full job description

Join us as a Payroll Coordinator on a 6 month fixed term contract and help ensure our people operations run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently with the purpose of supporting our colleagues throughout every stage of the employee lifecycle.

What you'll be responsible for:

Play a significant role in delivering exceptional payroll support across our organisation.

You’ll provide essential administrative support across payroll, benefits, and HR processes to ensure accurate and compliant people operations. You’ll maintain employee data, process starters, leavers and contractual changes, assist with monthly payroll preparation, and help administer company benefits.

You will also prepare employment documentation, support onboarding/offboarding, and maintain absence and personnel records. As a key point of contact for HR and payroll queries, you’ll deliver clear and consistent advice, escalating more complex issues when needed. You’ll also contribute to ongoing improvements within our people systems, processes, and knowledge resources, helping to enhance efficiency and support self‑service across the business.

This is a fixed term contract role for a period of 6 months. Applicants must be available immediately or at short notice.

What experience you'll need to have:

Background of monthly payroll administration and coordination within a medium-large sized organisation

Hold knowledge of UK payroll and HR processes (such as statutory pay, contracts, benefits)

Experience of working with SAP/SuccessFactors

Excellent administration skills with a high attention to detail and level of accuracy

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel with knowledge of reporting and reconciliations

Understanding of HR administration and employee lifecycle processes along with ability to manage multiple workloads with strict deadlines
