Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organised Showroom/Office Assistant to support our daily operations. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth running of the showroom and office environment. The successful candidate will possess strong organisational skills, be proficient in computer applications, and have prior office or administrative experience.

Duties

Greeting visitors and clients in a courteous and professional manner
Managing incoming phone calls with proper etiquette and directing enquiries accordingly
Assisting with data entry tasks using programmes such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace.
Organising appointments, meetings, and showroom displays to optimise visitor experience
Maintaining accurate records and updating databases regularly
Supporting administrative functions including filing, photocopying, and preparing documents
Assisting with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Providing general clerical support to team members to ensure efficient office operations

Qualifications

Proven office experience or administrative background
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive)
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good typing speed and data entry accuracy
Demonstrated phone etiquette and professional communication skills
Ability to work independently whilst maintaining attention to detail
Prior clerical or administrative experience is advantageous but not essential for highly motivated candidates

Part time

24 hours per week over 3 days, could turn into full time for the right candidate.
