Job Summary
Larsen Building Products is seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Stock Controller to support the effective management of stock across our warehouse and distribution operations. The role plays a key part in maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting stock control processes, and ensuring product availability to meet customer demand while minimising waste and discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in maintaining accurate stock records across all product ranges
· Support regular stock counts, cycle counts, and year-end stock takes
· Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, shortages, and variances
· Update inventory systems with goods received, transfers, and adjustments
· Liaise with warehouse, production, and purchasing teams to ensure stock accuracy
· Monitor stock levels and support replenishment and ordering processes
· Assist with managing obsolete, slow-moving, or damaged stock
· Support compliance with stock control procedures and best practices
· Prepare basic stock reports for management review
· Ensure health and safety and quality standards are followed at all times
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Good numerical and analytical skills
· Competent with Microsoft Excel
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
· Strong communication and teamwork skills
Desirable Experience
· Experience within building products, manufacturing, or construction materials
· Knowledge of batch control, traceability, or product specifications
· Experience supporting stock audits or reconciliations
· Understanding of supply chain or production environments
