We are currently hiring a Teaching Assistant for our Selby Studio at Drama Kids York. The successful candidate will also need to be willing to act as an occasional cover teacher in the Selby class and for other venues across the York and North Yorkshire based Drama Kids Academy.
Assisting the class teacher with the delivery of an established, exciting drama curriculum, you will be able to inspire and delight children of all ages, seeing their confidence and communication skills blossom before your eyes.

Initial Hours: 2 hours at Selby Community Centre on Tuesday from 5.30pm - 7.30pm during term time. Must be prepared to cover the class occasionally.
MUST DRIVE AND HAVE OWN CAR
- This is a permanent part-time position
- Curriculum will be provided for cover work
- A small amount of administration is involved and accuracy is important
- Excellent Communication Skills
Wage: £17 for Teaching Assistant work; £25 for cover teaching work. Travel contribution given for cover work. 4 weeks’ holiday pay.
Qualifications: Must have proven experience of an interest in drama and / or working with children. Age 5 - 13 (possible 11 - 17 for cover work)
Commitment: Must be available with no clashing commitments until at least July 2027.
Full training given and ongoing training provided. Subject to DBS check and satisfactory completion of safeguarding training.
