An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Administrator to join the Perinatal Mental Health Service within the Doncaster Care Group. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Administrator, who wants to participate and contribute to achieving excellent quality of care for our patients. In return for this commitment we will support and develop your potential and skills through regular supervision and development in this busy role within our friendly Trust.
The successful applicant will be reliable and provide a confidential, quality administration service to the Perinatal Team, deal with correspondence and the effective dissemination of information; facilitate service meetings, including minute taking, recording attendance and timely dissemination of agendas/papers.
The successful applicant will possess RSA II Typing/Word Processing or equivalent; be educated to GCSE level (minimum 5 GCSEs, including English and Maths) or hold equivalent qualifications, will have demonstrable experience of working in a busy environment and workload management; be able to use a PC and standard software packages.
Provide a senior confidential, quality administrative service to the Perinatal Mental Health Service
To communicate effectively, accurately and professionally, applying discretion and empathy where necessary, with written, telephone and face to face contact, with patients, service users, visitors, other Trust staff and external agencies
Have an understanding/knowledge and be able to work towards the KPI’s and targets set by the commissioner/trust
Provide and receive routine information to work colleagues and clients. Exchange information with clients requiring tact and diplomacy
Maintain quality in own work and encourage others to do so whilst working as an effective and responsible senior team member
Update annual leave rota and daily cover rota to ensure there is adequate cover at all times
Ensure the smooth running of the administration staff ensuring all areas/clinics are covered on a day to day basis; including liaising with clinical staff when required
Deal with any day to day problems that arise within the admin team such as staffing issues, technological issues ensuring effective resolution and continuity of services
