As our Marketing Executive, you will own the day-to-day operations of our e-commerce storefront and our email marketing infrastructure. This is a hands-on role requiring technical proficiency in Shopify and Klaviyo. You will bridge the gap between creative content and technical execution - managing web listings, building highly targeted email automation, tracking campaign performance, and ensuring a seamless digital experience for our trade and industrial clients.
Key Responsibilities:
E-Commerce & Platform Management (Shopify)
Store Optimization: Manage and maintain the Ultrimax Shopify platform, ensuring product listings, technical data sheets, trade pricing structures, and collections are accurate, beautifully presented, and optimized for conversions.
- UX & Merchandising: Continually review the online customer journey, implement navigation improvements, set up smart up-sells/cross-sells, and streamline the checkout experience.
- SEO Management: Optimize on-page SEO including product descriptions, meta tags, and alt text to maintain our dominant position in industrial search rankings.
- App Integration: Monitor and manage Shopify app integrations, ensuring smooth data flow to our core business systems and CRMs.
Email Marketing & Retention (Klaviyo)
- Lifecycle Automation: Build, test, and optimize advanced Klaviyo flows (including welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase technical follow-ups, and win-backs) specifically segmented for different industrial sectors (e.g., joinery, steel fabrication, rail).
- Campaign Execution: Plan and execute regular email marketing campaigns highlighting, new product launches and educational industry insights.
- Advanced Segmentation: Segment our database dynamically based on purchase history, industrial sector, and engagement behavior to maximize open rates and minimize unsubscribes.
- A/B Testing: Constantly test subject lines, send times, copy layouts, and offer types to iteratively improve revenue per recipient.
Digital Performance & Content Support
- Reporting & Analytics: Track, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including Shopify conversion rates, average order value (AOV), email revenue, and customer lifetime value (LTV).
- Content Alignment: Work alongside internal teams to repurpose technical guides, videos, and paint spec advice into high-performing digital marketing assets for the web and inbox.
- Social Media Management: Plan, create, schedule, and manage social media content across platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. Develop engaging posts that promote products, industry expertise, customer success stories, company news, and technical content while increasing brand awareness and audience engagement. Manage and optimise Meta advertising campaigns, including audience targeting, budget allocation, creative testing, and performance analysis to drive lead generation, website traffic, and conversions.
Required Experience & Skills
- Shopify Expertise: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience managing a fast-growing Shopify storefront (Shopify Plus or B2B features experience is a major plus).
- Klaviyo Proficiency: Proven track record of managing Klaviyo, with deep experience building automated flows, handling list hygiene, and driving measurable revenue via email segmentation.
- B2B / Trade Mindset: Experience in a trade, manufacturing, construction, or industrial B2B environment is highly desirable. You understand that a trade buyer values speed, stock availability, and technical spec accuracy over pure lifestyle marketing.
- Data-Literate: Comfortable diving into Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and native platform dashboards to back up your marketing decisions with hard data.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills. In our industry, getting a product code, volume measurement, or technical specification right is vital.
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
