About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Multi‑Site Engineering Co‑Ordinator to support our Engineering function across two key manufacturing sites in Thorne and Goole. This role focuses on improving spares management, contractor control, and overall engineering efficiency.
You will play an important part in enhancing equipment reliability, safety, and operational performance — helping shape long‑term engineering strategy within our growing business.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety
- Promote a safe working environment at all times
- Monitor contractors on site to ensure compliance with site rules
- Challenge and report unsafe behaviour
Statutory Compliance
- Coordinate insurance inspections and ensure equipment availability
- Liaise with inspectors and site teams to plan visits
- Ensure timely calibration of equipment
- Log statutory tasks using CMMS (Agility)
- Maintain engineering documentation related to waste handling
Purchasing & Cost Control
- Monitor and report spend on engineering parts, labour and contractors
- Challenge costs and validate requirements for all orders
- Ensure orders are fulfilled promptly to minimise production downtime
Contractor Management
- Ensure all contractors complete required documentation before visiting site
- Oversee contractor inductions and handovers to relevant personnel
- Arrange urgent contractor support to reduce operational impact
- Work with suppliers to secure emergency parts as required
Machine Servicing
- Plan servicing schedules with production teams
- Communicate servicing plans and equipment requirements
- Ensure all necessary servicing parts are available
Stock Control
- Build stock efficiencies across sites to reduce stockholding
- Order spares, challenging costs where appropriate
- Maintain consumables and critical spares at required levels
- Update critical spares trackers
- Track parts sent for repair and communicate progress
About You
We are looking for someone with experience in engineering administration, contractor coordination, stock management or a similar operational environment.
You’ll be a great communicator who can collaborate with production, engineering teams and external contractors with ease. You enjoy being the central link that keeps everyone informed and operations on track.
You will hold a current driving licence as you will be regularly travelling between the two sites.
