Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in welding and fabrication processes. The position is paid and suitable for those eager to develop their skills within a dynamic environment.

Duties

Perform MIG welding on Structural, secondary and architectural steelwork.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
Read technical drawings and specifications to accurately fabricate components according to project requirements.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts, ensuring proper fit and finish.
Conduct quality checks on welded joints and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Experience

Proven experience in MIG welding, ideally apprenticeship trained.
Demonstrable expertise in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication purposes.
Knowledge of structural steelwork, mechanical principles, and basic maths for measurements and calculations.
Familiarity with assembly processes and the ability to interpret technical drawings or schematics.
Prior experience working with various metals mainly mild steel is essential.
Strong mechanical knowledge combined with attention to detail to produce precise work results. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to enhance their fabrication skills within a professional setting that values quality craftsmanship and safety compliance.

Pay: £17.00-£18.00 per hour
