Full job description

Office Admin & Social Media Apprentice

We're looking for a friendly, organised person to be the face of Jock Sergison's — a trusted, independent garage serving Doncaster since 1974. Rated 4.7/5 on Google, we're the highest-rated independent garage in our area.

You'll be the first person customers speak to — on the phone, by message, or when they walk through the door. You'll also be responsible for our social media presence, helping us grow our online reputation and connect with customers.

The Role

Day to day, you'll be:

· Managing our social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Google) — posting updates, photos, before/after shots and customer reviews

· Answering phones and greeting customers

· Booking jobs and managing the workshop diary

· Creating invoices and processing payments

· Responding to emails, WhatsApp messages and online enquiries

· Ordering parts from suppliers

· Keeping the office organised and customer areas tidy

· Working with our remote admin assistant on daily tasks

About You

· Active on social media — you know what makes a good post and you're comfortable creating content

· Friendly and professional — you enjoy talking to people

· Organised — you can juggle phone calls, bookings and admin without getting flustered

· Good with computers — confident using email, spreadsheets and learning new systems

· Accurate with numbers — invoicing and cash handling need attention to detail

· Reliable and punctual — our customers depend on us being open and ready

No previous garage experience needed — we'll teach you everything. What matters is your attitude and willingness to learn.

What We Offer

· A recognised apprenticeship qualification (Customer Service or Business Admin Level 2/3) while earning

· A supportive, friendly working environment

· Real responsibility from day one — this isn't just a tea-making role

· A permanent position on successful completion of apprenticeship

· Monday to Friday — 8:30am to 5:00pm (no weekends)

· 20 days holiday + bank holidays

Are you eligible to undertake an apprenticeship in England?
This role is on-site in Doncaster DN4 5AB, Monday to Friday 08:30-17:00. Are you able to reliably travel there each day?
This is an 18-month Level 3 apprenticeship that includes one day a week at college. Are you able to commit to the full programme?
Do you have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 3/D or above, or are you willing to work towards them?
Are you comfortable being the first point of contact for customers - answering the phone, greeting people in person and replying to messages online?
