Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Cleaner (part-time) to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within our commercial premises. This role is suitable for individuals looking to contribute to a professional environment through efficient cleaning practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the workspace remains tidy, safe, and welcoming for staff and visitors alike. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

16 hours / week - preferably 7-10am

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising office surfaces and communal areas
Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and break areas in accordance with health and safety standards
Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed
Ensure all cleaning equipment is used correctly and maintained in good condition
Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Experience

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory
Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and equipment is beneficial
Attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work duties
