Location: The Orpheus Centre, Godstone, Surrey
Salary: £27,764 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time, 52 weeks per year)
Contract: Permanent
The Role
We are looking for an organised and proactive Student Recruitment Coordinator to manage the admissions journey from initial enquiry through to enrolment.
This is a rewarding and varied role where you’ll work closely with prospective students, families, local authorities, and internal teams to ensure a smooth, supportive, and efficient recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full admissions cycle – enquiry, application, assessment, offer, funding, and enrolment
- Act as the first point of contact for prospective students, parents, carers, and professionals
- Coordinate college tours, taster days, and recruitment events (both on-site and virtual)
- Review applications and supporting documents, including EHCPs
- Liaise with local authorities regarding placements and funding agreements
- Maintain accurate records and track applicant progress throughout the process
- Support enrolment and ensure data is recorded on internal systems (MIS)
- Build and maintain relationships with feeder schools, providers, and external stakeholders
- Provide admissions data and reports to senior leadership
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure a positive student experience
About You
You will be highly organised, detail-focused, and an excellent communicator who can build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in an administrative or education setting
- Understanding of SEND and EHCP processes
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Desirable
- Experience in FE admissions or recruitment
- Knowledge of Databridge, SIMS or similar systems
- Experience working with local authorities
- Experience supporting young people with SEND
