Full job description

Advantage Education is seeking to appoint a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a background in education or sales who is looking to transition into a rewarding career in education recruitment.

This is a full 360-degree recruitment role, encompassing candidate sourcing, client development, school meetings, and end-to-end placement management. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Managing the complete recruitment cycle, from candidate sourcing and qualification through to placement
Developing and maintaining relationships with schools and educational settings
Conducting face-to-face meetings with school leadership teams on site
Managing candidate pipelines and ensuring a high-quality service throughout the recruitment process
Working towards and achieving placement targets, on which commission and bonuses are paid

Working Hours

Term time: 07:00–16:30 or 07:30–17:00, Monday to Friday, on a rota basis
School holidays: Reduced hours of 09:00–14:00
The role is office-based on a full-time basis to commence. Following the successful completion of the probationary period, this will reduce to 3–4 days per week in the office.

Requirements

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as the role involves regular travel to school sites for meetings
Previous experience in education (e.g. teaching, support staff, or other school-based roles) with a desire to transition into a commercial setting, or proven experience in a sales environment
A genuine passion for education and the difference it makes to young people's lives
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently

Package

Base salary of £30,000 per annum
Commission and bonus scheme, paid in addition to base salary upon achievement of targets
28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
One week's leave over the Christmas period, provided in addition to and not counted within the annual leave allowance
Reduced working hours during school holidays
Hybrid working arrangement (3–4 office days per week) following successful completion of probation
