Full job description

This role is a limited term appointment for 12 months.

About the role

Looking for a senior paediatric role where you can take the lead on shift while delivering hands on care to children and young people? Work as a Registered Children’s Nurse within an inter professional team, assessing, planning and evaluating care to meet each child’s needs. Act as a key worker, coordinate care, and take responsibility for shifts, managing the ward and supporting the team in the absence of the Senior Sister or Charge Nurse, while serving as a visible role model in the clinical area.

This role gives you the chance to use your experience to lead and develop others while maintaining high standards of care. Support and supervise staff and students, contribute to clinical audit and service improvement, and apply your knowledge of safeguarding, professional accountability and evidence based practice. Build extended clinical skills and take ownership of standards across the ward, playing a key role in improving care for children, young people and their families while strengthening your leadership capability. Accommodation may be available for the first 6 months in your role at a reduced rate for non-Island residents, subject to availability.

A relocation package of up to £1,000 based on receipts is available for this role. Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month.
