Position:
Accounts Office Assistant – Sales ledger - TEMPORARY
Hours: 30 – 35 hours per week, ideally working Monday to Friday but four days may be possible
Start Date: Commencing June 2026
Salary:£21,000 – 24,000 per annum (depending on hours)
Qualities: Numerate.
Computer literate (Excel and accounting software advantageous).
Eye for detail.
Experience of working in an accounts department.
Time management skills
Responsibilities:
Daily transfer of supplier electronic data files into our computer system regarding fuel drawings.
Problem solving for errors when carrying out the task above.
Raising sales invoices for fuel drawings.
Reconciliation of cash and sundry fuel accounts.
Processing site and warehouse invoices.
Preparing weekly staff attendance records.
Maintaining staff holiday records.
Uploading the workshop sales invoices onto our accounting software (Dataflow).
Production and recording of customer credit references using Experian.
Provide assisitance to the credit contoller – production of early invoices, taking direct debits as required and chasing debts as necessay.
Provided holiday and sickness cover for other functions within the department.
Ad-hoc accounts department tasks.
Pay: £21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
