Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial health of the company. Typical Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting Pegasus Opera 3 software.
- Manage accounts payable, including invoice posting, supplier statement reconciliations, and payment runs
- Reconcile bank statements, resolving any discrepacies.
- Support and carry out month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Processing payroll and related submissions.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for management review
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies
- Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation
- Maintain organised filing systems for all financial documents and records
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper is essential.
- Proficiency in accounting software Pegasus Opera 3 or similar.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are desirable but not essential
What we can offer you:
- A full‑time role with set hours (9am–5pm), Monday - Friday. 42.5 hr Week.
- Starting on, 28 days paid holiday including Bank Holidays.
- A contract of employment upon successful completion of a 3 month probationary period along with relevant training required.
- Competitive salary of £30,000 - 35,500 (subject to experience and qualifications demonstrated)
