We provide high-quality, cost-effective, end-to-end building solutions for domestic projects, ranging from minor refurbishments to full-scale home transformations. As a growing business, we are looking for a dedicated and experienced Site Manager / Estimator to play a key role in our operations and help shape our company’s success.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive professional to oversee project delivery from the initial inquiry to final completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate job estimation and the effective management of on-site activities, ensuring all projects are delivered to our high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimation & Quoting: Accurately estimate costs for residential projects, including extensions and refurbishments. Compare material suppliers and trade accounts to ensure budget-friendly solutions for clients.
- Project Management: Oversee day-to-day operations on multiple sites, ensuring adherence to schedules and high-quality workmanship.
- Team Coordination: Work closely with employees and manage subcontractors, ensuring written terms and payment schedules are clearly understood and followed.
- Health & Safety: Maintain strict health and safety standards on-site, including carrying out risk assessments and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring they are satisfied with the progress and results of their project.
- Logistics: Coordinate material orders and deliveries to ensure smooth project flow.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Estimator within the residential construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and materials.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills for effective liaison with clients, suppliers, and teams.
- A "customer-first" mindset, aligned with our goal of total client satisfaction.
- Clean UK driving license.
- Ability to measure works and build up costs independently in a structured, methodical way.
- Good knowledge of subcontractor markets and procurement.
- Residential awareness and attention to detail.
- Must be able to travel and quote jobs in person at customers house.
