Marketing & Business Support Coordinator
Location: Hybrid – Work from home mainly, with one day per week in a home office in Deal, Kent, and occasional visits to sites in London and the South East
Hours: Flexible, typically 20–25 hours per week, with potential to grow

Pay: Negotiable depending on experience, skills and working arrangement. Expected starting rate from £15.50 per hour.

The Role
Whilst marketing, branding and content creation form the core of this role, we are a small business and there will be opportunities to become involved in a variety of projects and operations across the wider group. The initial main focus is a our Hotel & Pub located in Kings cross.
You will take ownership of the image, presentation and promotion of our businesses, helping ensure they remain modern, engaging, professional and competitive.
This is a newly created position. There is no existing structure, handover process or detailed training programme waiting for you. We are looking for someone who can help shape the role, develop systems and procedures, and bring ideas to the table.
The successful candidate will be trusted to manage their own workload, organise their own priorities and work independently whilst remaining aligned with wider business objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Brand Management
- Manage and develop social media channels across multiple businesses
- Create engaging content including photography, graphics, video and written posts
- Plan, schedule and manage content calendars
- Produce newsletters and email marketing campaigns
- Monitor engagement and identify opportunities for growth
- Ensure branding remains consistent across all platforms
- Research competitors, industry trends and new opportunities
- Develop creative campaigns and promotional initiatives
- Support event promotion and business marketing activities
- Help maintain a professional, modern and engaging image across all businesses
Website & Digital Content
- Update and maintain company websites
- Create and edit website content
- Improve online presentation and customer experience
- Assist with SEO and online visibility initiatives
- Support digital marketing projects and online campaigns
Business Development & Partnerships
- Identify opportunities for collaboration with suppliers, brands and local businesses
- Support promotional partnerships and sponsorship opportunities
- Research new marketing opportunities and industry trends
- Assist with new business launches, projects and growth initiatives
Creative & Design Work
- Create marketing materials using Canva and similar software
- Produce promotional graphics, presentations and visual content
- Support branding projects across existing and new businesses
- Assist with photography, videography and content creation where required
Business Support
- Provide remote support to guests and customers when required
- Assist with customer communications and reviews
- Provide holiday cover for key administrative functions
- Support ad-hoc projects across the wider group of businesses
- Assist with organisation, coordination and project management tasks where necessary

The successful candidate should be comfortable using modern software, automation tools and AI platforms to improve efficiency and generate ideas.

How Success Is Measured
This is a flexible role with a high degree of autonomy. We are less interested in monitoring every minute of your day and more interested in ensuring the role is making a genuine contribution to the business.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage their own workload, prioritise tasks effectively and provide regular updates on progress and performance.
As part of the role, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on relevant performance metrics, helping us understand what is working, what isn't and where opportunities exist for improvement.

- Previous experience in marketing, communications, social media, branding or a similar role
