Experienced Jig & Fixture Maker (Steel)- Part Time - 2 Fixed Days per Week
Salary: From £18 per hour (depending on experience)
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Jig & Fixture Maker to join our manufacturing team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in steel fabrication and welding who takes pride in producing high-quality, precision-built jigs and fixtures. Working closely with our design and production teams, you will be responsible for manufacturing bespoke jigs and fixtures that support efficient, accurate production.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture steel jigs and fixtures from engineering drawings
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Work closely with the design team to develop practical manufacturing solutions
- Carry out MIG welding and fabrication to a high standard
- Ensure all jigs and fixtures are produced accurately and meet quality requirements
- Modify and improve existing jigs where required
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Jig & Fixture Maker (essential).
- Strong welding and steel fabrication experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical approach to manufacturing.
- Full UK driving licence or equivalent
