Job Description

We are a fresh produce importer, linked directly with one of Spain’s largest growers, that supplies several UK supermarkets. The business has two distinct seasons and a wide variety of products.

The business is fast-paced and operates 7 days a week. Weekend and Bank Holiday work will be on a rotational basis within the team, but it is only for a few hours and can be achieved out of the office.

You will be required to assist other members of team with business administrative tasks.

You will be required to maintain all accounting records and assist with other regulatory reporting.

This role offers you the opportunity to build, manage and grow your role within the company.

You will be responsible for:

Assisting Sales & Procurement Executive with daily administrative business tasks.
Sales ledger transaction processing and allocation.
Credit control and management of aged debtors.
Purchase ledger transaction processing and cost analysis.
Quarterly VAT reporting.
Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts.

Essential

Previous experience in an administration / accounts role.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively.
Work with a high degree of accuracy.
Strong numeracy and IT skills especially Microsoft Outlook, Excel and MS365.
Able to work as part of a small team as well as using your own initiative.
Flexible and adaptive attitude to work and processes.

Preferred

Fully qualified AAT / Bookkeeper.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
