Job Overview
We are looking to recruit a motivated Technical Support Advisor to join our expanding telecoms team.
This is a full-time, permanent, office-based position suited to someone who is confident speaking with customers, comfortable using systems, and genuinely interested in developing technical knowledge within broadband and telecoms support.
Technical training will be provided, so previous telecoms experience is beneficial but not essential. However, the role would suit someone who enjoys understanding how things work, has an interest in technology, and is keen to develop practical troubleshooting skills in a customer support environment.
The role will involve helping customers with broadband, Wi-Fi, router, and connectivity issues, carrying out checks across internal systems and supplier portals, reviewing service information, and progressing the correct actions to support resolution.
This is a strong opportunity for someone with a logical mindset, good communication skills, and a genuine interest in building technical confidence within a specialist area of telecoms support.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a high standard of technical support and customer service in a professional and efficient manner
- Speak with customers by phone and email to diagnose broadband, Wi-Fi, router, and connectivity issues
- Troubleshoot service problems in a clear, structured, and customer-friendly way
- Carry out line, router, service, and account checks using internal systems and supplier portals
- Help identify whether issues relate to Wi-Fi setup, equipment, service faults, line problems, or customer-side configuration
- Raise, monitor, and progress faults, supplier actions, and internal tasks where required
- Guide customers through basic technical steps in a calm and understandable manner
- Handle minor customer service or basic administrative tasks, usually where they support the investigation or resolution of a technical issue
- Accurately record customer contact, technical findings, actions taken, and next steps
- Follow internal processes carefully to ensure issues are handled consistently and correctly
- Build technical knowledge through training, practical experience, and day-to-day exposure to telecoms systems and support processes
- Support the smooth handling of technical queries, faults, and service-related actions within the team
- Contribute positively to the wider business and maintain a professional approach at all times
