Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to support children in a vibrant educational environment. The successful candidate will help organise engaging activities, supervise children, and ensure a safe and nurturing atmosphere. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about childcare or working with children.

Responsibilities

Supervise children during after-school hours 2-6pm and holiday club hours 8-6pm ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities that promote learning and social development
Support children with homework or educational tasks as needed
Foster a positive environment that encourages creativity, cooperation, and independence
Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress or concerns
Organise snack times and ensure the cleanliness of activity areas
Support with transportation duties if required, including driving children to authorised destinations within designated areas
Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times to ensure a secure environment for all children

Qualifications

A recognised Level 3 Qualification in Childcare is Essential for this role. A Level 5 is preferable.
Good organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities suitable for various age groups
Valid driving licence is desirable to assist with transportation duties
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
Ability to work flexibly during after-school hours and adapt to the needs of the children and organisation
A caring attitude combined with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism
