Full job description

Job Title: Trainee Sales Executive

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm

Company: Storm Xccessories Ltd

Location: Unit 5, Swatragh Business Park, BT46 5QE

Summary of role duties:

· Taking orders from existing customers.

· Developing and building new customer connections.

· Making calls, connecting with businesses and building relationships.

· Ensuring that all customers are dealt with in a professional, efficient and courteous manner.

· Helping customers resolve issues by phone, email and in person.

· Keeping company CRM information up to date.

· Achieving and exceeding realistic performance targets set by the company.

· Meeting realistic KPI’s set by the company.

Once the successful candidate is trained in this role, there may be an opportunity to increase income with commission on sales.

Education:

· GCSE English and Maths Grades A-C.

Training:

· Full on the job training will be completed including:

o Induction training – educating the new employee on the role and the organisation

o Manual Handling training – important training in posture, lifting and handling of goods for all employees joining the organisation, with refresher training conducted in a timely manner

o Process training on the job – educating new employees on the standard procedures in their role

o Just in time training – is flexible training that provides learning at the point of need

o Skill demonstration – utilises observational learning to impart practical knowledge to learners

o Practice simulations – incorporate simulation-based learning into on-the-job training.

o Job aids – are short digital or physical content pieces that let learners quickly brush up on crucial job-related information.

o Workplace coaching – A more experienced employee transferring job skills to a new employee over time.

o Workplace probations to review and plan further training needs

Skills:

· Time management skills – You can use your time effectively and productively to ensure deadlines are met, and tasks are completed efficiently.

· Interpersonal skills – You can communicate and interact with your fellow colleagues, management and customers.

· Customer Service skills – You can handle our customer needs effectively and efficiently.

· Communication skills – You can convey information effectively and clearly, in both written and verbal manner.

· Social skills – You can communicate with customers and fellow colleagues effectively using empathy, politeness, active listening and clear communication when required.

· Research skills – You can locate, understand and use information effectively.

· Analytical skills – You can collect and analyse information provided to you by our customers, or team members; problem solve and review situations or problems to find feasible solutions.

· Problem solving skills – You can handle difficult or unexpected situations and can work towards a resolution with some ease.

· Critical thinking – You can objectively analyse and evaluate information with logical reasoning, problem solving and decision-making skills to come to a judgement and work towards a resolution.

· Software skills – You can use computer programs, applications or software, to accomplish your daily tasks.

Experience:

· Good literacy and numeracy skills.

· Sales experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

· An interest in the auto industry.

· Knowledge and experience of the auto industry is beneficial but not essential.

· Effective communicator, able to build rapport easily.

· Willingness to be coached and willing to learn.

· Willingness to develop within the role.

· Great work ethic and highly motivated.

· Great attitude to work.
