Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to support children in a vibrant educational environment. The successful candidate will help organise engaging activities, supervise children, and ensure a safe and nurturing atmosphere. Responsibilities
- Supervise children during after-school hours 2-6pm and holiday club hours 8-6pm ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities that promote learning and social development
- Support children with homework or educational tasks as needed
- Foster a positive environment that encourages creativity, cooperation, and independence
- Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress or concerns
- Organise snack times and ensure the cleanliness of activity areas
- Support with transportation duties if required, including driving children to authorised destinations within designated areas
- Uphold safeguarding policies and procedures at all times to ensure a secure environment for all children
Qualifications
- A recognised Level 3 Qualification in Childcare is Essential for this role. A Level 5 is preferable.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging activities suitable for various age groups
- Valid driving licence is desirable to assist with transportation duties
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to work flexibly during after-school hours and adapt to the needs of the children and organisation
- A caring attitude combined with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism
