About the role:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining normal production running conditions using logical reasoning and decision making to operate and adjust production equipment parameters (such as Scada systems) as per the company’s standard operating procedures (SOP’s). will work steadily and methodically to carry out routine manual handling tasks.
A level 3 Operative will be required to take samples from the process and use equipment and/or systems to monitor and record results. TA testing, sampling and setting up the towers as well as support less experienced team members to improve job knowledge and pass on information between shifts and departments as required.
Maintain the highest standards of hygiene and housekeeping in all production areas to ensure that production areas are compliant and ready for the next days production. Responding to hygiene or contamination risks by taking immediate action ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will be numerate and literate at secondary education level and have good IT skills. Knowledge and experience gained in operating within a food manufacturing environment is also essential.
The role works on a Fixed Night shift attracting a 22% shift premium on top of the basic hourly rate.
You will be working Monday to Friday on permanent nights (21:45 to 06:15).

Operative - Level 3:
Some of the daily tasks involved with the Level 3 operator role include:
- Monitor and plan production equipment availability to maintain normal running conditions. Adjusting settings to meet specifications. If further support is required, refer technical issues to Technical Operative and Shift Manager for resolution..
- Maintaining normal production running by monitoring the production processes and recording results in our quality monitoring system, ensuring we are working within the defined tolerances to make great cheese.
- Using logical reasoning and decision making to adjust machines where necessary to ensure consistent running.
- Work as part of a team to overcome any challenges and develop yourself and others.
- Ensure good audit ready standards at all times.
- Contribute to production performance and quality targets to ensure consistently delivering great quality products to our customers.
- Ensure cleaning schedules are completed in full and within required time frames.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.

Pay:
£15.19 per hour (£19.47 per hour which includes 22% shift allowance for a 40-hour week) £40,497.60 per year including shift allowance.
Hours:
The working pattern is 5 days per week working Monday to Friday 21:45 until 06:15.
