THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE A VALID CSCS CARD WITH GOOD EXPERIENCE IN CONCRETE FINISHING, EASY FLOAT FINISH, POWER FLOAT FINISH ETC ETC.

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces on various projects, ensuring high-quality standards and safety compliance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in concrete work and related trades to contribute to diverse construction initiatives. Applicants should be prepared to work in a physically demanding environment, demonstrating precision and attention to detail throughout each phase of the finishing process.

Responsibilities

Smooth, level, and finish freshly poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and specialised finishing equipment.
Set forms and moulds accurately to specifications before pouring concrete.
Apply various techniques such as trowelling, edging, and brooming to achieve desired surface textures.
Monitor curing processes and apply sealants or protective coatings as required.
Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely, including mixers and screeding machines.
Collaborate with other trades such as carpenters, masons, and roofers to coordinate project tasks effectively.
Maintain a clean and organised worksite, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Assist with site preparation, including excavation and formwork installation when necessary.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialised finishing equipment.
Mechanical knowledge relevant to concrete finishing processes.
Skills in welding, masonry, carpentry, roofing, or masonry are advantageous but not essential.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling and site setup.
Valid driving licence for commercial vehicles is desirable for site transportation needs.
Strong understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
Physical fitness to work in outdoor environments for extended periods under varying weather conditions. This position offers an engaging environment where craftsmanship and safety are paramount.
