We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance operation and ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the estate.

The Role
As Facilities Maintenance Manager, you will lead the day-to-day maintenance operation across the resort, managing both preventative and reactive maintenance activities while ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and guest experience.
You will coordinate a small maintenance team, manage contractors and suppliers, oversee water systems and spa infrastructure, and play a key role in maintaining the estate to an exceptional standard.
This is a practical leadership role that requires strong organisation, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Lead, coordinate, and support the maintenance team.
- Allocate tasks and manage daily priorities.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance support.
- Foster a positive, accountable team culture.
Maintenance & Facilities Management
- Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance across the estate.
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
- Diagnose root causes of recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Water Systems & Spa Facilities
- Take responsibility for the safe operation and monitoring of resort water systems.
- Oversee water testing, compliance, and record keeping.
- Ensure all spa and leisure facilities meet required standards and regulations.
Contractor & Supplier Management
- Manage external contractors and service providers.
- Source materials and services cost-effectively.
- Maintain inventory systems and stock control processes.
- Monitor budgets and project costs.
Operational Support
- Work closely with Front Office, Spa, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and senior leadership teams.
- Prioritise maintenance issues that impact guests.
- Support ongoing improvement projects across the resort.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a Maintenance Manager, Facilities Manager, or Team Lead role
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- A proactive, organised approach to maintenance planning.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
- Experience managing contractors, suppliers, and budgets.
- Good knowledge of health and safety requirements.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A full driving licence.
Desirable Experience
It would be advantageous if you have:
- Hospitality, hotel, resort, or leisure industry experience.
- Experience with water systems, legionella control, or spa facilities.
- Knowledge of pool plant, heating systems, access control systems, EV chargers, or commercial equipment.
- A trade background in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or joinery work.
- Project management experience.
