What you’ll be doing
Our pharmacists make a real difference in the communities we look after, delivering trusted care, advice and services that put patients first. In this role, you’ll use your clinical expertise every day, surrounded by a brilliant team and tools.

Key responsibilities

Delivering NHS, locally commissioned, and private services using both in-store and digital tools
Leading professional and legal standards for patient safety and pharmacy compliance
Monitoring, evaluating, and continually improving standards of care and safety
Working with the Store Manager to develop the capability of the wider healthcare team
Growing talent that reflects the communities we serve; coaching, mentoring and supporting your colleagues every step of the way.
Representing Boots within the local community and with healthcare professionals

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)

Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI)
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Experience leading patient and customer care within a pharmacy setting
Passion for delivering essential, advanced, and private services
A collaborative, team-first mindset and an eagerness to coach and guide others

It would be great if you also have

Experience in enhanced services
A strong understanding of local clinical networks

Need To Know

Join us in the stunning location of Bakewell, just on the edge of the peak district.

Working Pattern: Week 1 – Tuesday & Saturday | Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday & Friday.

Team: Supported by two part-time pharmacists, one full-time dispenser, one part-time dispenser, and a Store Manager who is also a dispenser.

Our pharmacy dispenses approximately 1,200–1,300 items per week.

Services: Offers Pharmacy First, blood pressure checks, and a high volume of Discharge Medicines Service (DMS) referrals.

Location: Situated in a picturesque market town on the edge of the Peak District, popular with tourists and surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Parking: No on-site parking. Long-stay parking is available nearby, also street parking available, with a short riverside walk to the pharmacy.

There could be an option to add 2 extra days per week, this would be covering on relief basis in the area.
