This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing family business with over 25 years in the construction industry.
This role would suit someone who is proactive, organised, confident, can multitask and has great communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the procurement of parts, services and goods across the group
- Reviewing, and comparing supplier quotations
- Raising purchase orders and maintaining procurement records
- Liaising with head of purchasing for end of month and year procedures
- Receipting deliveries, resolving supply issues, and ensuring timelines are met
- Assisting in maintaining efficient procurement processes across the business
- Attending meetings and occasional stocktake where required
- Any other ad hoc duties as required
Requirements:
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach
- Comfortable speaking with suppliers and chasing information where required
- Team player
- Good IT skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Full UK driving licence preferred
Desired skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of plant hire and transport would be an advantage
- Previous experience working within a group environment with multi companies
