Full job description

Zota has gained a reputation for creating the highest quality bespoke constructions in and around the Cotswolds. We are currently looking for a Buyer to join our team.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Buyer to oversee our procurement for our construction projects.

Responsibilities

Be the main point of contact for all ordering requirements from construction sites
Create and maintain relationships with new and existing suppliers whilst negotiating the best terms
Raising enquiries, placing orders and ensuring timely deliveries to site in line with programme requirements.
Managing Rebate schemes with suppliers
Reviewing hire reports and liaising with the construction sites to ensure all items are still in use
Making best use of owned plant and tools to fulfil hire requirements
Monitoring the market and identify any cost saving opportunities
Dealing with supplier invoices discrepancies
Making assessment on Hire Vs Buy opportunities
Ensure that materials/equipment comply with Company and industry guidelines
Working with the commercial and operational team to understand project needs and provide support.
Monitor and chase deliveries, liaise with suppliers to resolve any issues or delays ensuring timely receipt on site.

Skills

Proven experience as a Buyer within the construction industry
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Good Extensive understanding of construction materials and supply chains
Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with various stakeholders.
Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to read plans/drawings for the project and carry out take offs from drawings or Schedule of Works/Bill of quantities
A strategic mindset with the ability to identify cost saving opportunities

Pay: £24,420.00-£60,000.00 per year
