Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Roofing Maintenance Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems to ensure safety, durability, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of roofing systems to identify damage or potential issues.
- Perform repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised fabrication tools.
- Install new roofing materials or replace damaged sections in accordance with project specifications.
- utilise schematics and technical drawings to guide repair and installation processes.
- Carry out maintenance tasks such as sealing, waterproofing, and cleaning roof surfaces.
- Assist with heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to high standards.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times, including the safe use of ladders, scaffolding, cherry picker and other access equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Skills:
- Experience with brick laying, carpentry, masonry, or general construction is advantageous.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment relevant to roofing maintenance.
- Knowledge of roofing techniques, materials, and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills for effective teamwork and client interactions.
- Physical fitness suitable for working at heights and in various weather conditions. Pay: £100.00-£200.00 per day
