Job Title: Apprentice Electrician
Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Salary: £25,000
Hours: Between 8:00am – 4:30pm (early finish on a Friday) with some weekend and bank holiday work required
Contract: Full-time (39 hours per week)
Black Country Living Museum is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our team and work towards a Level 3 qualification.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their electrical career who is keen to learn, develop practical skills and gain valuable hands-on experience. You’ll have the opportunity to put your learning and experience into practice while working alongside experienced professionals and discovering what it takes to keep our museum running safely and effectively.

What will you be doing?

Getting hands-on with electrical work by assisting with the repair and maintenance of both historic and modern electrical equipment across the Museum.

Building your practical skills by working with industrial, commercial and domestic electrical equipment and appliances.

Learning how electrical installations work, assisting with the installation of domestic and commercial electrical equipment.

Gaining unique experience by working in historic and modern environments.

Being part of the wider maintenance team, supporting general site maintenance and helping to keep the Museum running day-to-day.

Learning as you work, putting your college-based knowledge into practice while working towards your Level 3 qualification.
