Full job description

The role is for a permanent afternoon shift of 2pm to 10.30pm, Monday to Friday. The successful applicant will need to be available for 2 weeks company training from 9.30am to 6pm.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Paint Shop Operative to join our production team. This role is responsible for preparing and inspecting metal components to the highest quality standards while supporting efficient manufacturing operations.

Working within a fast-paced environment, you will follow visual work instructions and engineering drawings to achieve our core objective of:

On Time – In Full – No Errors (OTIFNE)

Safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning, masking, and pre-treatment
Inspect finished products for defects and measure coating thickness
Follow all health & safety procedures and PPE requirements
Maintain accurate production and quality records
Support workflow, stock control, and general production duties
Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions

Requirements

Previous experience in powder coating, paint shop, or manufacturing preferred
Strong attention to detail and quality
Good teamwork and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
